How do I know if Counseling would be helpful?

Meeting with a therapist can be helpful when having difficulty adjusting to changes in  circumstances, relationship with God, self and others, needing help with a particular  challenge and finding direction in the life God has given you. Counseling may be appropriate when particular symptoms are interfering with normal,
daily life functions at home, work, school and/or these symptoms are negatively affecting
relationships.

Consider the following:
Depression: isolation, crying, anger, feeling down-hearted and blue, ‘stuck’
Anxiety: excessive worry, panic attacks
Irritability, explosive outbursts
Changes in eating, sleeping and exercise patterns
People in your life are concerned about you
Unresolved childhood traumas, including physical and sexual abuse or neglect
Chemical Dependency (drug or alcohol)
Self-injurious behaviors (cutting, burning, choking, acts of recklessness)
Acting out sexually
Conflict/dissatisfaction in significant relationships
Avoiding of social activity
Withdrawal from friends and family

What if I am not a Christian? What is Christian Counseling?

As a licensed professional I honor the personal beliefs and convictions of the clients
I see. Clients choose if and how they would like to incorporate their personal faith or
spirituality into counseling.

Clients who are Christian and are seeking to develop their faith can be sure to experience
such spiritual growth. Be assured that Biblical Principles will be followed.

Clients who are Christian and prefer not to discuss the Bible or Christian values in the
counseling process will feel very comfortable.

Clients who neither identify self as non-religious, non-spiritual, non-Christian will feel
welcome.

What are your fees?

If you do not have mental health insurance the private pay fee is 110.00 for 50 minutes.

What about insurance?

I do accept most major insurance plans. It is helpful if you call your insurance company
and ask specifically if you have “Mental Health Coverage.” You are responsible for any
deductible amount and/or co-pay at time of session.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Appointments must be cancelled 24 hours in advance. Missed appointment may be billed
at $60.00.

What are your hours?

Saturday and Evening appointments are, as we would expect, in high demand and may
require a wait for initial visit. Please call or Email and we will discuss your needs and
availability. Every attempt will be made to get you in as soon as possible.

Where are you located?

Dena Crosby Counseling is located in Omaha just North of 93rd and West Dodge
Road. See Location/contact for a map and directions.
